POST 6: EXPERT OR WEBSITE

Part 1

https://www.youtube.com/c/bach

Writing about this content is interesting, this is because I will have to talk about one of the pages that I like to visit the most and this is the Netherlands Bach Society on YouTube. Through this channel, you can find content related to a musical group dedicated to the compositional work of Johann Sebastian Bach.

The compositions that can be found are practically all, or at least the most important, and the most impressive thing is when you can appreciate the works with choirs and orchestra, because fantastic lyrical singers are performed in them, from whom you can learn how to approach vocal work and what kind of techniques they use to deal with this type of repertoire. A clear example of this is the Mass in B minor BWV 232 conducted by Van Veldhoven and the solo singers Hana Blažíková (soprano 1), Anna Reinhold (soprano 2), David Erler (alto) Thomas Hobbs (tenor), Peter Harvey (bass).

I like this site because you can see how the Netherlands Bach Society carries out investigative work on how to deal with Bach's music and the baroque.

I visit the site frequently, because in my spare time I really like to listen to these excellent versions of Bach's compositional work while doing work or other activities. In that sense it is an excellent company and I can also learn new things about this old music.

Part 2

One of my favorite lyrical singers is the baritone Bryan Terfel. He was born in the year 1965, in Pantglas, Wales. He graduated from the “Guidhll” music school in 1989. In the 1990s he debuted in the opera “Così avienta tutte” of the Welsh National Opera.

In 2003, Terfel receives a tribute from the Prince of Wales, and today he has received a medal from the Queen.

Throughout his career, he has stood out for his solid voice and his versatility for acting in opera, becoming one of the most important singers of our times. This led him to participate in the most outstanding opera roles for baritone of the various established composers.

A clear example of this is his participation singing in the main roles in the tetralogy of The Ring of the Nibelung (original title in German: Der Ring des Nibelungen) by R. Wagner in the productions of The Metropolitan Opera.

I like this singer because of his great contribution to music, leaving a great legacy of how to work on stage and with the voice. Along with this, the way he performs on stage inspires the singers to follow his style, also having an extraordinary voice.
